S swell builds in on Friday and continues the S-SSW swell train with shoulder-overhead sets at the well exposed spots that will run through the upcoming weekend.

Southern California Long Range Surf Forecast – Train of S-SSW swells move in through the week and Sir Edward starts to wear out his welcome.

S swell builds in on Tuesday and starts the S-SSW swell train at the well exposed spots that runs through the upcoming weekend. The eddy continues to hang around but never gets all that nasty.

Southern California Long Range Surf Forecast – S swell windswell combo for the weekend and more out the back
By on June 9, 2011 @ 9:58 pm

S swell gets a small, but fun reinforcement as we head into the weekend but brings along his dumb friend eddy.

More S-SSW swell arrives and NW windswell holds in the background.
By on June 6, 2011 @ 4:40 pm

We see a new S swell peak on Tuesday and hold into Wednesday before fading through the end of the week. NW windswell holds in the background…hopefully with enough energy to help combo up the S swell.

Fading Combo, ok winds, and ‘nad freezing water on tap for the weekend. More S-SW swell hitting next week.

Slowly fading combo of S swell and NW windswell will continue into Friday and Saturday while conditions actually look halfway decent for the next couple of days. More S-SW swell arrives Sunday and holds into next week.

S swell, NW windswell, and cleaner conditions for the next few days and then we see funky winds and smaller waves for the weekend. Cleaner surf and more S-SW swell on tap for next week.

Conditions improve and the combo of S swell and NW windswell will hold for a couple of days before backing off. Winds sort of fall apart again as we head into the weekend but more swell and cleaner conditions are lining up for the middle of next week.

Conditions sort of go WTF for the weekend…but better weather and more S swell on tap next week.

The weather can’t really make up its mind for the holiday weekend…I have looked at the models till I have gone cross-eyed today and basically we just have to wait and see. Next week does look better weather wise, which will be just in time for a bigger chunk of S swell to push into the region. Yaaa for S-swell!

A few fun days this week thanks to a playful mix of S-SW swell, some steep NW energy, and mostly manageable winds. Bigger S swell forming out the back (again).
By on May 23, 2011 @ 4:11 pm

Steady mix of overlapping S-SW swells and some peppy NW energy (mostly windswell) will help keep us in the water this week.

Lots of S swell for the weekend, more next week, and even more after that…oh and maybe some NW, you know, just for the hell of it.
By on May 19, 2011 @ 8:57 pm

S swell holds into the weekend so wave heights will continue to be decent sized. Conditions stay nice for a couple of days and then a cold front moves in late weekend that may junk things up for Sunday/Monday. Long-range has more southern hemi swell brewing out the back and even the North Pacific is starting to tease us with some storm action that could form up later next week.

Rain? Onshore winds? Big S swell? Cleaner conditions? More Southern Hemi? Yes (insert awkward silence here)

What the hell?…Weatherwise we just went from the start of summer and got knocked back a couple of months into early spring. So instead of sun we get crap weather…but then things dry out later in the week. The big S swell starts hitting on Wednesday and will peak Thursday-Friday with more swell out the back.

Mixed bag of S-SW swell, windswell, and conditions for the weekend. Much bigger S swell heading our way for next week!
By on May 12, 2011 @ 5:58 pm

We get a mixed bag of S-SW swells, local windswell and some funky winds as we move through the weekend. By early next week there is some potential for sloppy conditions. Expect a much bigger S-SSW swell to arrive late on Wednesday and peak through the second half of next week.

More S-SW swell, cleaner conditions, and some playful windswell on tap this week. More S swell forming out the back.
By on May 9, 2011 @ 1:30 pm

Conditions improve as we move through the middle of the week, winds lighten up and we see a string of playful sized S-SW swells along with some on-and-off NW windswell, that will keep things rideable most of the week. Look for a bigger SW swell to arrive around Friday and the potential for another stronger S-SSW swell later this month.
