Stormy Forecast on call for Wednesday…expect rain, onshore winds, and general sloppiness for most spots
By on April 10, 2012 @ 5:48 pm

For most areas, Wednesday is not going to be a surf day. The weather is forecast to suck with rain and S wind holding through most of the day.

Tuesday’s forecast is calling for a boost of WNW-NW through the day while S-SW swell holds steady in the background
By on April 9, 2012 @ 7:49 pm

While there is bad weather in the forecast Tuesday looks like it will be a pretty decent surf morning. Winds should be light and variable, the tide will be filling in, and the blend of combo swells will have most of the exposed spots seeing playful sizes.

Forecast for Monday calling for a clean, slow start to the morning but new WNW swell arrives through the afternoon.
By on April 8, 2012 @ 6:51 pm

Monday will be rideable…but the morning is liable to be inconsistent as we slog through mostly NW leftovers and pulses of SPAC swell. More swell from both WNW and S-SW arrive in the afternoon.

Forecast for Saturday showing clean conditions with fun but fading swell mix on tap.
By on April 6, 2012 @ 5:40 pm

Saturday looks like a surf day…it won’t be firing, but the mix of really clean morning conditions and the slowly fading combo swell mix will keep many spots rideable.

Friday’s Forecast showing nice conditions while the windswell fades and more S-SW swells move in to keep the SPAC swell from dropping too far
By on April 5, 2012 @ 4:40 pm

Friday looks like a better surf day…it will still be cooler than the beginning of the week but the high-pressure is forecast to move back in and try to shift winds back to the N-NNE and slowly warm up air temps while it starts to clean up the surf shape for many areas.

Thursday’s forecast has strong wind continuing to blow in the outer water that drive in early onshore flow for most of Socal’s beaches.
By on April 4, 2012 @ 7:51 pm

Thursday’s forecast looks pretty sloppy, and while there may be a few semi-protected areas the majority of Socal will be junked up pretty much from the start of the day.

Wednesday’s forecast has strong winds in the outer waters building in windswell and eddy conditions for exposed spots.
By on April 3, 2012 @ 6:14 pm

Wednesday doesn’t look as good as the last couple of days…an upper level trough and cold front brush through the area and turn the winds onshore, bringing clouds, drizzle, and some choppy shape.

Forecast for Tuesday calls for fading but still healthy surf and a bit more balanced swell mix
By on April 2, 2012 @ 10:09 pm

Tuesday is forecast to be a good surf day…the winds are mostly offshore in the morning and while we will still have some decent sized swell in the water the blend of NPAC and SPAC energy will be more even.

Monday’s Forecast is showing good winds, solid comboswell, and nad-freezing water temperatures.
By on April 1, 2012 @ 7:27 pm

Monday looks much more surfable than Sunday, the winds switch offshore Sunday night and if they start early, which looks like it will be the case, then it will be very fun (though very cold) by Monday morning.

Sunday’s Forecast is looking sloppy and blown out, but with a solid swell mix hiding under the mess choppy mess.
By on March 31, 2012 @ 2:17 pm

Sunday looks pretty craptacular…the cold front that is forecast to impact the West Coast will have moved in overnight and should be blowing cold brisk onshore winds throughout Socal before sunup.

Forecast is calling for more swell on Saturday and another round of eddy flow for the morning.
By on March 30, 2012 @ 2:02 pm

Saturday will be surfable, not great, but getting bigger in size and seeing just some lighter morning winds around the dawn patrol. Stronger onshore winds and bigger S and NW swell will be tap by the afternoon/evening.

Friday’s forecast has the new round of S swell starting to peak and new WNW-NW swell building up as another storm approaches.
By on March 29, 2012 @ 4:24 pm

Friday will be a slightly sloppy surf day with winds blowing over our building combo swell, just strong enough to add some texture, but not totally tearing it apart.
