Monday Storminess – Looks like we get a case of the Munday’s…stupid weather.
By on October 24, 2010 @ 4:10 pm

Monday is not looking like much of a surf day…onshore wind, early morning rain, and just a general nastiness to the weather is going to keep things from ever getting out of the poor range.

Sunday Surf – A little drier and a little cleaner…but not for long
By on October 23, 2010 @ 9:11 pm

Sunday will have a few surfable pockets but some areas will still see some onshore flow kicking in early. Spots with exposure to the swell mix but protection from the wind will be the best call.

Surf for Saturday – Breezy…with combo hiding under the chop
By on October 22, 2010 @ 6:05 pm

Saturday is not looking that fun…the winds look a bit squirrely even in the morning and it looks like they are just going to strengthen on into the afternoon.

Funky Friday – the combo swell starts to limp in but the winds won’t be helping us out.
By on October 21, 2010 @ 11:34 pm

Friday, thanks to local winds and lingering weather, won’t be much of a surf day.

Thursday’s Surf – A little bigger but I bet the brownfish are still swimming
By on October 20, 2010 @ 3:33 pm

Personally I wouldn’t call Thursday a surf day…the water quality alone sort of churns my stomach…and then we get to add in the fact that there isn’t that much swell in the water. So the combo of poop and small waves just doesn’t get me fired up.

Poo for Wednesday – yeah that 3-feet of rain has to drain somewhere
By on October 19, 2010 @ 5:05 pm

Wednesday is not looking like a surf day…this cutoff low-pressure that has been trying to drown parts of Southern California will still be hanging around the area…and while it looks like the rain will lighten up it will continue to fall on and off through most of the day.

Tuesday’s Surf – small and clean but rainy
By on October 18, 2010 @ 4:20 pm

Tuesday will be surfable (small…small and surfable) in the morning…but the weather, which we can just call sucky-rain, will keep it from being much fun to be at the beach. (We can always drive home in our wetsuits).

Monday’s Surf – Fading SW swell, some onshore funk and, and rain.
By on October 17, 2010 @ 11:17 pm

Monday isn’t looking like a surf day…sure there will be swell, but the wind looks pretty sloppy in the morning, and another little shot of rain will be moving through. Apparently during LA Nina, spring never stops. Stupid spring.

Sunday – Smaller…with weather looking a lot like Saturday.
By on October 16, 2010 @ 6:23 pm

Sunday will have fading surf, variable winds, and still a little drizzle showing through the morning but it looks like the protected spots (with exposure to the SW) will still be pretty surfable through the morning.

Saturday – grey skies, drizzle, and a steady S-SW swell
By on October 15, 2010 @ 4:55 pm

Saturday looks like a surf day…but not the greatest beach day…at least not in the morning.

Friday’s Surf – Mostly S-SW swell with a teensy-tiny bit of windswell
By on October 14, 2010 @ 9:03 pm

Friday will be a surf morning…winds look good, the S-SW swell (180-220) will have some decent sized sets at the standout breaks, and there will be just a touch of windswell to break things up.

Thursday’s Surf – S-SW swell holds…NW swell slowly drops off
By on October 13, 2010 @ 5:20 pm

Thursday is looking pretty surfable…the S-SW swell mix (190-215) will continue to push through while the NW windswell trails off in the background.
