Friday’s forecast has another round of WNW-NW dog-piling on top of the existing energy
By on February 9, 2012 @ 9:04 pm

We have another round of long-period WNW-NW swell and clean conditions on tap for Friday with some overhead surf hitting the top spots. Get on it while you can…funky winds and rain will move in on Saturday.

New swell moves in tonight and is forecast to peak through early Thursday morning and holding through the day.

Thursday looks like a good surf day…the WNW-NW swell mix gets groomed up by more steady offshore winds and even more WNW energy mixes in from storms a little further off the coast.

Forecast for Wednesday…the weather moves out while the W-WNW swell moves in
By on February 7, 2012 @ 9:22 pm

Wednesday looks like a surf day…though the swell shape may feel pretty raw and the water quality a little extra brown in the areas that got more rain.

Tuesday’s forecast has an appproaching storm cranking up the wind and the rain, but may leave an opening for manageable shape at some spots
By on February 6, 2012 @ 8:48 pm

Tuesday is forecast to be stormy…but it still has a good chance to be surfable if the front hits us the right way and you don’t mind surfing in some rain…

Monday’s Forecast has fading but playful NW swell and light offshore winds for the morning but a change in the weather is on the way.
By on February 5, 2012 @ 9:12 pm

For the most part Monday will be a surf day…well at least half of a surf day, with clean conditions showing through the morning and a new storm front approaching through the afternoon.

More WNW-NW swell forecast for Sunday…along with more Santa Ana wind. Expect more size and more consistency at the better exposed breaks.

Looks our s’winter (summer/winter) will continue through the rest of the weekend…and a little more size shows at the NW facing beaches

The Surf Forecast for Saturday has our morning swell backing off and turning more NW’erly but the Santa Ana conditions look like they will stick around.
By on February 3, 2012 @ 6:21 pm

Saturday will be a rideable day…and if you have a spot that can pull in the steeper NW energy it could even have a fun/playful session hiding in the better parts of the tide swing.

Forecast for Friday is showing a little more Santa Ana wind and a playful mix of NW swell.
By on February 2, 2012 @ 7:53 pm

Friday is forecast to be another surf day with offshore winds and a slightly fading, but still healthy, NW swell.

Thursday’s forecast has more WNW-NW swell moving in and peaking through the day.
By on February 1, 2012 @ 8:35 pm

Finally Thursday looks like it will be a decent surf day. This latest incoming round of WNW-NW swell is showing more size on the buoys and is filtering through our nearshore islands a bit better than the last couple of pulses.

Wednesday has new NW swell forecast to move in and mix with our small leftover energy
By on January 31, 2012 @ 10:01 pm

I am expecting more NW swell (290-300) to arrive and fill in on Wednesday, but due to the underperformance of the last couple of swells I think we should knock down the size of this new one a little bit.

Tuesday’s Forecast shows overlapping NW swells, a little windswell, and cleaner conditions keeping things rideable and fun.
By on January 30, 2012 @ 7:30 pm

New WNW swell fills in through the day, showing some new size in the morning at the northerly counties but filling in the other regions further south as we move through the day.

Forecast for Monday has it starting off clean and small, but with more NW arriving late in the day.
By on January 29, 2012 @ 5:18 pm

Monday will see the fading WNW-NW swell mix teetering on its last legs in the morning…it will be rideable and winds look clean early on, just plan on bringing your small wave gear.
